In celebration of National Flag Day, May 14th, the Gardens of Richardson took the opportunity to replace the US Flag and Texas Flag that have hung in the front of the facility for some time with new flags. Individuals from the U.S. Marines honored the community with a ceremonial raising of the flags. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by and patriotic songs were sung by entertainer Doc Gibbs. The residents of The Gardens of Richardson enjoyed visiting with the marines and police officers as well as other guests attending the ceremony. Refreshments were served and guests were invited to stay for lunch after this special event.
